Cruising Experience:
Logged miles of approximately 2500 cruising miles, points including: California (SF Bay, Santa Cruz, Monterey, Channel Islands, San Diego), Mexico (Sea of Cortez and the Pacific Mainland). Can climb up the anchor chain with ease and set her on the bow pulpit. Fearlessly swam with the whale sharks of Bahia Los Angeles.
Who am I?
When I was two years old, we went on a cruise ship journey along the Hawaiian Islands. Every night on the ship, after dinner, I danced and danced ‘til midnight. I don’t know why I love to dance, but I do. I want to learn how to dance the hula.
Like my older sister, I have been to many places and I like to go to new places. Like my mom, I still get nausea underway, but that is getting to be less and less of an issue as we sail more and more. Guess we have to keep going!
My favorite things to do are to build and move. I love to build with my Legos, wood scraps, clay or paper towel rolls or with just about anything. Bring on the glue and tape and I’m a happy camper. I can tie a bowline. At the beach I love to dig tunnels and build sand castles. I climb the rigging in my bare feet and hands and then swing from there. It is fun. I’m told that I will be the reef watcher when we get to the South Pacific. Highlights of my year have been swimming and snorkeling with the whale sharks, playing with the sea snails and crabs, and watching the coyote’s on shore.
I’d like to be an Ethologist when I grow up. An Ethologist studies the behavioral habits of wild animals in their native habitats. Or maybe I’ll be a designer like my Dad and Mom?
Ambitions:
- to swim with dolphins
- to see the Galapagos Turtles in their natural habitat
- to visit the Hawaiian Islands
